Striders with strong effort at Nevins Classic

East Stroudsburg, PA (10-24-09) - The Keystone College men's cross country team overcame a sloppy and saturated course to take home a fourth place finish in the 15 team field at the Pete Nevins Cross Country Classic at East Stroudsburg University.

The Giants were the top division III team in the event.  Eric Shotto (Olyphant, PA/Mid Valley) covered the 5K course in a time of 17:03 to finish in ninth overall to pace the men, while on the women's side Jenna Fancher (Kingsley, PA/Mountain View) ran the 5K layout in a time of 21:26 to finish in 17th to lead the Keystone women to a 10th place finish.

Dan Toye (Tunkhannock, PA/Tunkhannock) had a strong showing with a time of 17:40 to finish in 27th, while Chris Berg was 30th with a time of 17:43.  Gabby Neri took 32nd with a time of 22:10 on the women's side.
