Striders wrap up year at NCAA Regionals

Bethlehem, PA (11-14-09) - The Keystone College cross country teams wrapped up their 2009 slate at the NCAA Mid-East Regionals at Lehigh University.  The event was hosted by Muhlenberg College.

Jenna Fancher (Kingsley, PA/Mountain View) ran a personal best time to pace the Keystone women, while Eric Shotto (Olyphant, PA/Mid Valley) once again led the Keystone men.

Fancher covered the 6K course in a time of 24:56 to finish 134th in setting her new PR.  Shotto finished 139th with a time of 27:48 over the 8K layout.

Chris Berg, Dan Toye (Tunkhannock, PA/Tunkhannock) and Tad Koneski all ran solid races with Berg finishing 159th with a time of 28:19, Toye in 161st at 28:27 and Koneski at 177th with a time of 28:41.

Other Keystone men's times:  Geoff Noonan – 29:54 – 232nd; Matt Fabbri – 30:07 – 236th and Eric Hinkel – 30:45 – 258th.

After Fancher, the Keystone women finished as follows: Gabby Neri – 26:28 – 199th; Renee Crane (Waymart, PA/Western Wayne) – 27:19 – 229th; Jill Drost (Tacoma, WA/Clarksville (TN)) – 33:58 – 283rd; Mary Praschak (Old Forge, PA/Old Forge) – 34:20 – 285th and Caylin Baker – 34:21 – 286th.
