Softball splits with Cazenovia
La Plume, PA (4-13-09) - Keystone College took game one of its doubleheader with Cazenovia College by a 3-1 score to earn a split in their non-conference double dip.  The Wildcats rebounded to take game two 14-7.

With the split Keystone moves to 8-16 with Cazenovia moving 5-10.

In the opener Meagan Cunningham went the distance allowing one run on seven hits and striking out five.

A three run third was all the offense the Giants would need.  Leah Simko singled in two and Katie Butzer added a run scoring single as the Giants made the most out of their four hits in game one.

In the nightcap the Giants out-hit the Wildcats, but Cazenovia took advantage of eight base-on-balls and three Keystone errors to double up the Giants.

Megan Thomas tripled as part of her three hit day for the Giants, while also knocking in three.  Butzer and Kelly Iovieno were also two-time hitters for Keystone, as Butzer drove in a pair.

The Giants jump back into action on Tuesday when they play host to Marywood at 3pm in a CSAC doubleheader.
