La Plume, PA (2-22-10) - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced that Keystone College's Kenneth Hardnett has been named as a men's basketball First Team All-Conference selection.
In addition to Hardnett's selection, Keystone's Malcolm Boone and Tercel Taylor earned Honorable Mention selections, while Spencer Lunger was named as a CSAC Sportsmanship Award Recipient.
Hardnett, a sophomore from Plant City, FL, led the Giants in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals, while finishing second in blocks. His rebound total of 10.4rpg and his .622 field goal percentage were tops in the conference this season.
He averaged 15.4ppg, while starting all 25 games for the Giants to this point. He led the team in scoring 11 times this season, while leading the way on the boards 21 times. Hardnett recorded 13 double-doubles on the year, while also registering a career high 26-point game on January 25 against Gwynedd-Mercy. He also recorded his career high in rebounds, 17, on two different occasions this season, December 3 against Marywood and on January 25 against the Griffins.
Hardnett finished off his season box score with 2.36apg, 2.04spg and 17 blocks and 145 made field goals, which was ranked first on the team.
Boone, a sophomore from Sugar Loaf, NY, had a resurgence in the second half of the season and was
a key component to the Giants securing the second seed in the CSAC playoffs.
He averaged 10.4ppg and 5.2rpg, which ranked him second on the team. His 51 blocks (2.04bpg) rank him first on the team. Boone shot .500 from the field and 60% from the free throw line. He also dished out 44 assists with 31 steals. Boone netted his career high point total of 25 in back-to-back games this season at Neumann and Cabrini.
Taylor, a junior from Jackson, MI, was second on the team in scoring with 12.7ppg. The Giants floor leader led the team in scoring eight times this year, while recording his career high point total of 26 against Ursinus.
He recorded 75 rebounds to go along with 51 assists and 39 steals on the season.
Lunger, a senior from Lake Winola, PA was selected as the CSAC Sportsmanship Award Recipient. Lunger reached a pair of milestones this season when he surpassed the 1,000 point plateau, while also becoming the all-time three-point leader at Keystone.
