Mighty Macs dominate overtime in topping Giants 74-61
La Plume, PA (2-8-10) - Immaculata University knotted the game with 2.5 seconds left in regulation, then used a 17-point overtime period to topple Keystone 74-61 in CSAC men's basketball action.

The Mighty Macs, who completed the season sweep of the Giants, improved to 13-8 overall and 11-3 in the CSAC, while Keystone, who saw its six game win streak snapped, fell to 14-6 and 9-4.

Trailing by two with 2.5 seconds to play in regulation, Immaculata's John Boyd hit a twisting shot in the key to knot things at 57.  The Giants failed to get a potential game winner off as the Mighty Macs intercepted the in bounds pass forcing overtime.

After the Giants took their last lead of the game on a Kenneth Hardnett layup just 12 seconds into overtime, it was all Mighty Macs in the extra session from that point on as Immaculata reeled off 17 straight points.  

The Giants struggled down the stretch missing five consecutive free throws in the final minutes, while misfiring from three-point range. connecting just two of 12 times in the second half and overtime.

Boyd netted a game high 24 points to go along with seven rebounds, one of four Mighty Macs in double figures.  Eric Barefield hit for 15, while Jeff DeSantis added 11 and Nelson Torres 10.

Keystone had a pair of players record double-doubles, as Kenneth Hardnett hit for 17 with 16 rebounds, while Malcolm Boone added 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Spencer Lunger added 12 points and Ryne Luce 10.  

Keystone jumps right back into action tomorrow night at 7:30pm when they play host to Rosemont College.
