La Plume, PA (4-21-10) - The Keystone College softball team saw its season high losing streak run to six games as the Giants dropped both ends of a non-conference doubleheader to Lycoming College, 11-4 and 11-1.
With the sweep the Warriors moved to 12-22, while Keystone, who has lost 11 of their last 12, fell to 10-21-1.
What worked for the Warriors in the opener, worked in game two as well as Lycoming scored 11 runs and knocked out 15 hits in each game.
In the opener a six run fourth and four run seventh carried the Warriors as Amanda Peck and Taylor Lesser each collected three hits each.
Carissa Iyoob picked up two of the Giants five hits, one of which was a double. Iyoob also drove in two for the cause. Loryn Haas picked up then other Keystone RBI. Haas, Lori-Ann Marino and Janessa Karwowski each added a hit.
In the nightcap, Lycoming scored in five of the six innings played, bookended by a four run first and four run sixth.
The Giants managed just two hits in the game, an Iyoob double and a Haas single. Iyoob also drove in the lone run.
The Giants return to action on Saturday at 1pm when they play host to Cabrini College.
