Track sets three new program marks at Muhlenberg event; Fancher captures 5000m

Allentown, PA (4-3-10) - The Keystone College track and field team set three new outdoor program marks while competing at the Muhlenberg Invitational.

Another highlight of the day was Jenna Fancher (Kingsley, PA/Mountain View) who won the 5000 meter run in a time of 20:45.12 

Mark Cruver reset his school record in the Javelin with a toss of 160', while the 4x100 meter relay team  (Joe Stauder (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley), Ryan Fegley (Frackville, PA/North Schuylkill), Trevor Young, Brian Slater (Bronx, NY/Stevenson)) set the program record by clocking a time of 44.29 seconds. 

Latoya Campbell (Long Island, NY/South Side) was able to get the women into the mix by setting her own school record mark of 18.41 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles. 

Gabby Neri also ran an excellent race in the 1500 meters clocking the second fastest time in school history at 5:22.21.

Other notable performances on the day included four Personal Records being set by: Rebecca Drumheller (Hazleton, PA/Hazleton) in 100 meter dash and 200 meters, Liz Eckrote in the 100 meter dash, and Ericka Miller (Leola, PA/Manheim Township) in the 100 meter dash.

On the men's side of things nine Personal Records were broken on the day by: Mike Bolden (Chestertown, MD/Old Mill) in the Triple Jump, Brian Slater (Bronx, NY/Stevenson) in the 100 meter dash and 200 meters, Matt Fabbri (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) in 800 meters and 1500 meters, Zach Knott in the 1500 meters, Ryan Fegley (Frackville, PA/North Schuylkill) in 400 meters, Steve Pohlig (Lansdowne, PA/Upper Darby) in the 400 meters, and Eric Shotto (Olyphant, PA/Mid Valley) in the 5000 meters.

Freshmen Donnie Whyte and Matt Fabbri (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) had very big days as well. Matt Fabbri (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) continued to make huge strides in the 1500 meters dropping below the 4:30 mark for the first time in his life, while Whyte placed fourth in the discus popping out a throw of over 115 feet. 

The event was a non-scoring team event.
