La Plume, PA (5-27-10) - Keystone College senior baseball player Eric Groff has been named to the 2010 D3baseball.com All-America team. Groff, a third-baseman for the Giants earned a spot on the third team.
The 2010 season marks the second straight year in which Groff has earned national recognition, having been selected to the team following the 2009 season.
A native of Lebanon, PA, Groff was a First Team All-CSAC selection this season and was named as the Most Outstanding Player at the 2010 Colonial States Athletic Conference Baseball Championships.
On the season Groff batted .368 (56-152) with his 56 hits ranking him second on the team. He belted out a Keystone season record 18 home runs, finishing his career with 31, second on the all-time Keystone list.
Groff drove in 54 runs while scoring 48, both team highs, while also knocking out eight doubles and five triples. He also recorded a slugging percentage of .842 and an on-base percentage of .438.
Keystone wrapped up this past season with a record of 30-9, capturing their second consecutive CSAC crown, while also making their third straight trip to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
