La Plume, PA (5-14-12) – The Keystone College baseball team will enter the 2012 NCAA Division III tournament as the number one seed in the Mid-Atlantic regional.   
 
The third ranked Giants (35-6) will begin their trek towards a return trip to the Division III World Series on Wednesday at 1:15pm when they take on eighth seed Daniel Webster College (23-17) of New Hampshire.  The game will mark the first ever meeting between the programs.
 
The Mid-Atlantic Regional will be played at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, NJ and is hosted by Kean University.
 
Other opening round games on Wednesday in Lakewood include: #4 Ramapo College vs. #5 Neumann University at 10am; #3 Alvernia College vs. #6 Haverford College at 4:30pm and #2 Kean University vs. #7 Drew University at 7:45pm.
 
The Mid-Atlantic Regional is one of eight sites playing host to 56 teams, with the Regional winner of each site advancing to the World Series in Appleton, Wisconsin. 
 
Daniel Webster qualified for this year's tournament by capturing the championship and automatic bid out of the New England Collegiate Conference.  The Giants and Eagles actually have one common opponent this season in New Jersey City University.  The Eagles dropped a 1-0 decision on March 10, while Keystone threw a 6-0 shutout at NJCU on April 25. 
 
Keystone has a history with the other six teams participating in the Mid-Atlantic Regional, compiling a 26-18 mark against those opponents.  The Giants are 4-0 vs. Ramapo; 16-1 vs. Neumann; 3-3 vs. Alvernia; 2-0 vs. Haverford; 0-13 vs. Kean and 1-1 vs. Drew. 
 
Tickets for each day of the Lakewood Regional are priced at $8 for adults and $4 for students, children and seniors.  All tickets can be purchased at the box office.

FirstEnergy Park is located at 2 Stadium Way in Lakewood, NJ 08701, at the intersection of Cedar Bridge and New Hampshire Avenues.
From Northern Jersey - Garden State Parkway South to Exit 89. At the end of the exit, bear right towards Brick & Lakewood. Make a left onto Cedar Bridge Ave (Rt. 528 W). Proceed 1.4 miles through three traffic lights to FirstEnergy Park entrance.
From Southern Jersey - Garden State Parkway North to exit 90, which puts you on Chambers Bridge Road. Make a U-turn at the first light (loop around and make a left back onto Chambers Bridge Road, heading west. Go under the Parkway, at the second light, make a left on Route 88 and proceed for one mile. Make a left onto New Hampshire Avenue and proceed .5 miles to the second light, Cedar Bridge Avenue and the ballpark.
From West - Take Route 70 East to jughandle before New Hampshire Ave. (Rt. 623) intersection. Turn left onto New Hampshire Ave. and cross over Route 70. Continue through 2 traffic lights to FirstEnergy Park on left.
From East - Take Route 70 West to Cedar Bridge Ave. (Route 528). Turn right and proceed 2.4 miles to FirstEnergy Park on left.
From Interstate 195 - Take Exit 28A to Route 9 South. Follow Route 9 South for 5.9 miles to Pine St. Turn left onto Pine St. and follow for 1.6, miles to New Hampshire Ave, Turn left onto New Hampshire Ave. and follow to FirstEnergy Park on left.
