Photo GalleryLa Plume, PA – More than 25 Keystone College student-athletes turned out on Thursday afternoon to participate in a community outreach program with the St. Joseph's Adult Day Care. Thursday's event marked the fourth event of the year of the "Little Giants" program which teams Keystone student-athletes with adults with disabilities in the community for various activities.
Thursday's event, held in Brooks Theater, was a post-Valentine's Day event in which Keystone student-athletes pair with a "Little Giants" to make valentines and decorate cookies. Additionally, the group played music and watched a movie.
"Today's event was a great opportunity for our student-athletes to give back to the community and also to appreciate the physical abilities they have that they might take for granted," said Keystone head field hockey coach
Ashley Irwin, who organized the Little Giants program.
Student-athletes from Keystone's field and softball teams participated in Thursday's event along with SAAC representatives from the men's golf and women's soccer teams.
