La Plume, Pa. – Keystone College athletic teams partnered up with the Salvation Army on Monday evening to hold its second annual Adopt a Family gift wrapping party. The Giants made the holiday season brighter this year by collecting and wrapping presents to give to 11 local families in need this season.
Student-athletes and coaches from 16 of Keystone's varsity athletic programs participated in Monday's event. The men's and women's track & field and cross country teams adopted two larger families while men's and women's soccer also adopted a large family each. Field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, and volleyball each adopted medium-sized families while men's and women's basketball, and wrestling adopted small families for Monday's gift wrapping party.
Keystone student-athletes who participated in Monday's gift wrapping party enjoyed making a difference for families in need, particularly during the holiday season, while gaining an appreciation for the challenges many people face year-round.
