Al Berger brings more than a decade of coaching experience to Keystone for his second stint as a collegiate head coach. Berger also serves as the gym scheduler for the Keystone athletic department.Â
2021-22: Preseason No. 2 in CSAC Coaches Poll. Finished with the No. 2 seed in the regular season standings. Defeated Notre Dame of Maryland in the CSAC Championships semifinal round before falling to top-seeded Clarks Summit in the title game to finish as conference runner-up ... Giants finished the regular season (plus conference tournaments) ranked in the NCAA Division III top 25 in several team statistical categories (Assists - No. 23, Assists Per Game - No. 25, PF Per Game - No. 15, 3-FG Att - No. 23, 3-FG - No. 17, 3-FG Per Game - No. 17) ... Seniors Mac Oribello individually ranked No. 3 in 3-FG Per Game (3.65) and No. 5 in 3-FG (84); Lee Gordon No. 3 in total steals (94) and No. 7 in Steals Per Game (3.62) ... All-CSAC First Team selections: seniors Oribello and Bella Lamonea.
The Massachusetts-native last served as women's basketball interim + acting head coach at Pine Manor College and was credited with American Collegiate Athletic Association Co-Head Coach of the Year honors. One player named to the ACAA All-Conference First Team.
Berger's first head coaching stint came during the 2017-18 season at Salem State University with one player landing on the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team.
