Griffins top Giants

La Plume, PA (10-25-08) - Gwynedd-Mercy College earned their third conference win with a 3-1 victory over Keystone College in CSAC men's soccer action.

With the win Gwynedd-Mercy moves to 4-12-1 overall and 3-3 in the conference, while Keystone falls to 3-11-1 and 1-5.

The Griffins outshot the Giants 14-8 on the day as the match was played in a steady rain nearly the entire contest.  Gwynedd-Mercy converted two first goals and then added a third midway through the second half.

Jamie Ellis (Shanklin, Isle of Wight England/Sandown) provided the only offense Keystone could muster when he scored at 87:57 off an assist from Scott Bensinger (Hegins, PA/Tri-Valley). 

The Giants return to action on Tuesday October 28 at 4pm when they play host to Neumann College.
