Turnovers prove costly in loss to Wilkes

Wilkes-Barre, PA (12-13-08) - Wilkes University scored 31 points off of 29 Keystone turnovers as the Colonels topped Keystone 80-57 in non-conference women's basketball action.

With the victory Wilkes moves to 5-3, while Keystone falls to 3-4 as the team heads into the holiday break.

The Colonels controlled both halves of basketball as they put up 40 points at the half to build an 11-point lead and then added another 40 spot in the second twenty minutes.

Jessica Kobesky showed why she has been one of team's most consistent performers over the years, as the senior netted a team high 19 points on 9-10 shooting from the field.  She also added a team high seven rebounds and three assists.

Ellen Fallon was the only other Keystone player to hit double digits with a 15-point night.

Sam Lynam led Wilkes with a game high 22 points as the Colonels placed four players in double digits.

Keystone will return to action on Monday January 5 at 7pm when they play host to St. Joseph's (NY).
