Cyclones blow by Giants, 96-77

La Plume, PA (12-4-08) - Centenary College took advantage of a sub-par first half by Keystone College to post a 96-77 CSAC women's basketball victory.

With the victory Centenary moves to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the CSAC, while Keystone evens its mark at 3-3, while falling to 0-1 in conference play.

Keystone shot just 24% in the first half, hitting only eight shots from the field, as the Cyclones built a 17 point bulge at the break.   The Giants managed a better second half hitting nearly 48% from the floor, but Centenary kept on track as they shot 54% for the game.

Turnovers were the story of the day as Keystone committed 19 in the opening twenty minutes and 31 on the day as Centenary recorded 17 steals.

Ellen Fallon netted a game high 28 points as well as a game high eight steals to lead the way for Keystone.  Jessica Kobesky recorded her fourth double-double of the year with a 17 point and 15 rebound outing.  Melinda Moore's 12 and Leah Simko's 11 rounded out the double digit scorers for the Giants. 

Kristen Camuso led the way for Centenary with 27 points, while Jen Vasta added a 26 point night.  Marissa DiStasio chipped in with 13. 

Vasta led the Cyclones with eight assists, while Camuso recorded five steals.

Keystone returns to action on Saturday December 13 at 7pm when they travel out of conference for a game at Wilkes University.
