Women's soccer picks up first win

La Plume, PA (9-25-08) - The Keystone College women's soccer team notched its first win of the season with a 2-0 decision over College of St. Elizabeth.

The win moves the Giants to 1-5 on the year, while the Eagles fall to 1-7.

After a scoreless first half Sam Weiss (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy) broke the stalemate with her goal at 63:35 off the assist from Bethany Kresge (Dupont, PA/Tri-Boro Christian).  Kira Rubin (Whitefish Bay, WI/Whitefish bay) iced the contest with ten seconds remaining with an unassisted goal.

Keystone outshot the Eagles by a 26-1 margin.

The Giants return to action on Saturday September 27 at 1pm when they play host to Immaculata.
