Aston, PA (1-22-09) - Spencer Lunger (Lake Winola, PA/Tunkhannock) netted a game high 17 points as the Giants overcame a seven point halftime deficit to top Neumann College 59-52 in CSAC basketball action.

With the victory, the team's third straight, the Giants move to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in the CSAC, while Neumann falls to 8-8 and 4-3.

Lunger came off the bench for his game high in just 23 minutes of action.  One of the nation's top free throw shooters, he was a perfect 4-4 from the stripe.

Channing Woodall (Plant City, FL/Plant City) connected for a dozen, while Ryne Luce (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) added 10.  Luce hit on all three of his attempts from downtown.

Patrick O'Connor led the Knights with 15, the only Neumann player in double digits.

The team's played the first half tight, with Keystone building a lead as big as five points, however, Neumann closed the half with a 10-2 run to take a seven point lead into the break.

The Giants defense clamped down in the second half as they limited Neumann to just 23% from the field, which included the Knights going 0-9 from three-point range.  The Knights scored 15 of their 25 second half points from the free throw line.

The Giants drew even for the first time in the second half  at 31 when Luce nailed a three and took their first lead of the second twenty minutes when Luce again connected from downtown to go up 36-35.

The teams exchanged leads for the next nine minutes of play, before a Woodall jumper with 2:59 to play put the Giants back on top to stay.  Keystone quickly built a seven point edge thanks to a three and a deuce by Lunger.  Free throws by Lunger, Luce and Michael Kelly (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) helped seal the win down the stretch.

The Giants return to action on Saturday when they travel to Philadelphia Biblical for 4pm tip.
