Keystone edges out Crimson Eagles in OT

Langhorne, PA (1-24-09) - The Keystone College women's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 61-56 overtime victory over Philadelphia Biblical University in CSAC action.

With the win the Giants move to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in the CSAC, while Philadelphia Biblical falls to 3-9 and 1-5.

Keystone had built a six point halftime lead, but they saw it all fade away as the Crimson Eagles used a second half surge to knot things up and force the extra session.

Neither team was able to hit from the field in the overtime with any accuracy, however it was Keystone's 4-4 effort from the free throw line that proved to be the difference, as PBU managed to hit on only 1-8 from the field.

The duo of Ellen Fallon and Jessica Kobesky combined for 27 points on the night, as Fallon led the way for a team 14.  Kobesky also led the team on the glass with eight boards as they out-rebounded PBU 43-34.

Melinda Moore and Leah Simko each added nine points each for Keystone.  Fallon also recorded nine steals on the afternoon, her second highest total this season.

Dani Norton led PBU with a game high 25 points.

Keystone returns to action on Monday January 26 at 6pm when they play host to Marywood.
