La Plume, PA (1-8-09) - Jessica Kobesky recorded her fourth double-double of the season, as Keystone placed ten players in the scoring column en route to an 81-42 win over Penn State Abington in non-conference action.
With the victory the Giants move to 5-4, while Penn State Abington falls to 3-6.
Samantha Frick, who scored 19 on the night to pace Penn State, connected on five three-pointers in the opening half to keep the Lions close. In fact Keystone clung to a 23-22 lead before finishing the half on a 14-6 run.
The Giants dominated the second half holding Penn State to just 18% from the floor and 13% from three point range, as Keystone outscored the Lions 44-14 in the second twenty minutes.
Kobesky was 7-10- from the field and 6-8 from the field in just 24 minutes of action.
Sarah Barretto hit for a season high 13 points to go along with six rebounds, while Leah Simko added 11. Melinda Moore and Ellen Fallon each chipped in with nine,
Yasmeen Bates had a strong night on the glass with eight rebounds, as Keystone held a 47-26 edge on the boards. Danielle Burke dished out a team high four assists.
The Giants return to action on Saturday January 10 at 1pm when they play host to Immaculata University. The game will mark the start of 16 consecutive conference games for Keystone.
