Volleyball snaps 12-match skid

Scranton, PA (10-10-09) - The Keystone College women's volleyball team snapped a 12 match losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Rosemont College in a CSAC quad match at Marywood University.

The Giants ended up going 1-2 on the day as they dropped 3-0 decisions to Philadelphia Biblical University and Marywood University.  On the year Keystone moves to 2-14 overall and 1-6 in the conference.

In their match against Rosemont Kendra Bianchi (Montague, NJ/Port Jervis) had 13 kills, seven aces and five digs, as the Giants downed the Ramblers 25-19, 27-29, 25-15, 25-14.  Heather Reiman also added eight kills, four digs and three aces.

PBU took the straight set match by scores of 25-10, 25-22, 25-14.  Bianchi once again led the Giants with five kills, four digs and two aces.  Nina Del Quaglio (Lake Ariel, PA/Western Wayne) recorded seven digs.

In the nightcap the Pacers too the match 25-12, 25-13, 25-22.  Leah Simko (South Gibson, PA/Mountain View) had 19 digs to along with two kills, while Tara Diesel (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) added two kills.

The Giants will return to action on Tuesday at 7pm when they play host to Baptist Bible College.
