La Plume, PA (10-14-09) - Samantha Morgan (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights)'s overtime goal in the 81st minute lifted Keystone College to a 2-1 victory over Cedar Crest in CSAC field hockey action.

With the victory the Giants move to 10-2 overall and 5-0 in the CSAC, while the Falcons fall to 4-10 and 1-4.

Morgan, who also added an assist on the afternoon, made her way around the Cedar Crest defense in front of the goal to convert the winning score at 80:48.

The 10 victories by Keystone match their win total from last year, when Keystone re-introduced field hockey as a varsity sport.

The Giants got on the board first, scoring just 2:22 into the match when Kelsey Drozda (Wilkes-Barre, PA/G.A.R. Memorial) converted off an assist from Morgan.  The Falcons knotted things at one at the 49:01 mark when Jessica Macko scored.

The teams played the final twenty minutes of regulation and first ten minutes of overtime as a scoreless battle before Morgan ended things.

Keystone will return to play on Saturday when they travel to Immaculata for a 1pm match.
