Giants fall in CSAC road match

Immaculata, PA (10-21-09) - Immaculata University scored two first goals and never trailed as the Mighty Macs downed Keystone College 4-2 in CSAC men's soccer action.

The loss for Keystone comes despite a two goal effort from Scott Bensinger (Hegins, PA/Tri-Valley).  With the loss the Giants fall to 3-12 overall and 1-6 in the CSAC, while Immaculata improves to 5-6-4 and 3-2-1.

The Mighty Macs scored literally just a minute into the match when Kameron Teel scored at 1:01 on a breakaway.  Immaculata added another goal with just twenty one seconds left in the half on a Joe Walker goal to account for their first half book end goals.

Bensinger cut the margin to 2-1 at 70:38 scoring on an unassisted goal.  However, the Mighty Macs built the lead back to two at 75:30 on a Alan Lorentz score.  They would extend the lead to 4-1 at 84:35 on a Michael Tyrell goal.

Twelve seconds later Bensinger would net his second goal of the game to close out the scoring.

Keystone will return to action on Saturday at 1pm when they travel to Centenary College.
