Rosemont, PA (10-3-09) - Rosemont College scored in the 111th minute to come away with a double overtime victory over Keystone College in CSAC men's soccer action.
With the win Rosemont improves to 3-5 and 1-3, while Keystone falls to 3-8 and 1-2.
Rosemont's win comes despite the two goal effort of Keystone's
Jamie Ellis (Shanklin, Isle of Wight England/Sandown) and the two assist game from
Alex Boirand (Shanklin, Isle of Wight England/Sandown).
The Giants and Ramblers combined to score five goals in the opening half of play. It was a Boirand to Ellis goal at 27:42 that gave the Giants a 1-0 lead. However, Rosemont would answer with three goals in the next ten minutes to take a 3-1 lead.
The Giants would close the gap to 3-2 at 41:16 when Ellis connected for his second goal of the game.
Coming out of the break with was Boirand who squared things at three, scoring just fifty-four seconds into the half off an assist from
Matt Evertt (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Catholic Academy).
After a high octane first half, the teams went into the scoring drought until Rosemont's Freddie Moss connected on an unassisted header for the game winner.
Keystone keeper recorded 13 saves in het.
The Giants return to action on Thursday at 3pm when they play host to Baptist Bible.
