La Plume, PA (2-17-09) - Baptist Bible College scored 27 points off of 28 Keystone turnovers as the Defenders downed the Giants 78-63 in CSAC women's basketball action.
With the victory Baptist Bible moves to 9-14 overall and 6-9 in the conference, while Keystone falls to 10-13 and 5-10.
While both teams struggled from the floor, Keystone shooting 41% and BBC 40.7%, it was the Defenders performance from the free throw line that provided them the lift. Baptist Bible shot 72% from the stripe, hitting on 23 of 32 attempts. Keystone managed to go to the line 15 times, hitting only six.
The Giants only led in the contest for a total of 1:57 as the Defenders controlled the game throughout.
Alysha Paladino led the way for Baptist Bible with 23 points on 8-15 from the field. Jessica Pollock hit four three-pointers on her way to a 17-point outing, while Melanie Williams added 10. Paladino and Pollock combined for all seven of Baptist Bible's made threes.
Ellen Fallon hit five three-pointers on her way to a game high 26 points to lead the Giants. Jessica Kobesky added a double-double with a 13-point and 10-rebound outing, while Leah Simko added 10.
Fallon also led the team in assists with five and steals with three. Kobesky and Brianna Borowksi each added four assists.
Naomi Sweeney led BBC with eight rebounds, while Heather Dodd paved the way with five steals.
Keystone will return to action in their final game of the season on Saturday when they play host to Immaculata at 11:30am.
