Neumann takes two from softball

Aston, PA (3-21-09) - Neumann College knocked out 24 hits on the afternoon, as the Knights swept a CSAC twin bill from Keystone College, 9-0 and 9-1.

With the sweep Neumann improved to 11-7 overall and 6-0 in the CSAC, while Keystone fell to 1-9 and 0-2.

In the opener Angela Sebasto tossed a perfect game to pace Neumann to the victory.  Caitlin Hanrahan went 3-3 with 4 RBI's for the Knights in game one.

In the nightcap, the Giants managed to jump on the board in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead.  However, the lead was short lived as Neumann pushed across four in the second and two in the third in the put things away.

Megan Thomas (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) paced the way for Keystone with two hits, while Sabrina Johnson provided Keystone's lone run with a first inning home run.

Meagan Cunningham (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) absorbed the loss in both games.

Keystone will return to action on Friday March 27 at 3pm when they welcome Centenary College to campus for a doubleheader.
