La Plume, PA (3-29-09) - Keystone College pitching did not allow an earned run on the day, as the Giants took both games of its doubleheader with Stevenson University, 4-2 and 16-0.
The sweep improves the Giants mark to 18-4 overall, while Stevenson evens its mark at 12-12.
In the opener Sean Brewer pitched a complete game three hitter to earn the win. Brewer allowed two unearned runs while striking out six.
Eric Groff carried the hot stick as the junior went 3-3 with two doubles. Groff knocked in two and scored twice for the Giants. Ben Fish, who also doubled, accounted for Keystone's other RBI. Josh Hinkle also doubled for the only other extra base hit of the game.
The nightcap featured an offensive outburst by the Giants, coupled with a dominating mound performance by Sean Murphy.
Murphy worked six innings of five hit ball, striking out two and walking one to earn the win.
Fish and Groff once again provided the charge in the Giants offense as Fish drove in four and Groff three. Fish went 2-2 with a home run and run scored, while Groff doubled and scored twice.
Kyle Conrad doubled twice on his way to a three hit game, while Esteban Meletiche collected two hits to go with two RBI's and two runs scored.
Keystone will return to action on Friday April 3 at 3pm when they play host to Centenary College.
