Warriors trip up Giants in soccer action

La Plume, PA (9-16-09) - Four different players recorded goals for Lycoming College, as the Warriors tripped up Keystone 4-1 in non-conference men's soccer action.

With the victory Lycoming moved 5-1 on the season, while Keystone fell to 1-5.

Lycoming connected on a pair of first half goals to take an early 2-0 lead, providing all the offense they would need.  Randon Wilston scored at 5:40 off an assist from Jimmy Deasel, while Chris Lorenzet netted his goal at 23:36 with the assist going to Scott Hordis.

The Giants would make a game of it when Ryan Ehrhardt (Lafayette, NJ/Pope John XXIII) cut the deficit to 2-1 at 57:16.  Alex Boirand (Shanklin, Isle of Wight England/Sandown) and Scott Bensinger (Hegins, PA/Tri-Valley) assisted on the Ehrhardt goal.

However, Lycoming would rebuild their two goal advantage at 65:03 when Deasel found the back of the net, this time with the assist from Wilston.  The Warriors would ice things seven minutes later when Zach Frederick scored off a Mike Coates assist to close out the scoring.

Keystone keeper Ryan Gilroy (Dallas, PA/Dallas) recorded two saves in net.

The Giants will return to action on Saturday at 1pm when they play host to Philadelphia Biblical University in the team's CSAC opener.
