La Plume, PA (9-22-09) - The Keystone College women's soccer team gave a valiant effort in a 1-0 loss to Baptist Bible College in the conference opener for both squads.

With the victory Baptist Bible moves to 4-3, 1-0, while Keystone fell to 0-5, 0-1.

Baptist Bible came into the match riding a three-game win streak, a streak in which they outscored their opponents by a 15-1 margin.  However, Keystone keeper Kelsey Kuhns (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) was stellar in goal, stopping 23 shots.

The Defenders lone goal came early in the match at 10:43 when Hannah Andrist lofted a ball just over the out-stretched hands of Kuhns.

Keystone will return to action on Saturday at 1pm when they play host to Gwynedd-Mercy College.
