La Plume, PA (9-29-09) - Joe Bender netted two second half goals while also adding an assist as King's College downed Keystone 5-0 in non-conference men's soccer action.
With the win King's moves to 7-2 overall, while Keystone falls to 3-6.
Greg DeMaio and Rob McGuiness scored first goals to give the Monarchs a 2-0 advantage. Bender assisted on DeMaio's goal at 21:03, while George Genco picked up the assist on McGuiness' score at 43:55.
Bender scored the Monarchs' first two goals of the second half at 50:22 and 53:17 to put King's up 4-0. Billy Elliott capped off the scoring at 63:36.
Keystone keeper Ryan Gilroy (Dallas, PA/Dallas) stopped six shots on goal.
The Giants will return to action on Thursday at 4pm when they travel to Neumann College for a CSAC match. The contest will be played at Sun Valley High School.
