Cavaliers race by Giants

Radnor, PA (1-14-10) - Cabrini College shot 50% in the first half as the Cavaliers raced out to a 19-point  halftime lead en route to a 58-39 victory over Keystone College in CSAC women's basketball action.

With the win Cabrini moves to 6-6 overall and 4-1 in the conference, while Keystone falls to 3-8 and 1-3.

Cabrini built their halftime advantage with steady shooting and good defense, as the Cavaliers held Keystone to just 22.6% shooting in the opening 20 minutes.

The Cavaliers extended their lead to as much 24-points near the mid-way mark of the second half, 46-22.  The Giants never really were able to get into their flow, as the team shot 22.8% from the floor for the game and 20% from three-point range.  Cabrini also forced 24 turnovers and blocked 13 Keystone shots.

Ellen Fallon (Scranton, PA/Scranton) netted a game high 20 points to pace Keystone.  Fallon also recorded six steals to go along with five rebounds.

Yasmeen Bates (Tobyhanna, PA/Pocono Mountain West) hit for 11 points, just missing out on a double-double with a nine rebound night.  Melinda Moore (Norwich, NY/Norwich) added nine rebounds to Keystone's 40 rebound total.

Kate Walck paced Cabrini with 16 points, while Julie Bonomo added 12.

The Giants will return to action on Saturday at 1pm when they play host to Cedar Crest College.
