Lancaster, PA (1-16-10) - The duo of
Kenneth Hardnett (Plant City, FL/Plant City) and
Malcolm Boone (Sugar Loaf, NY/Warwick) combined to score 45 points as Keystone College downed Lancaster Bible College 78-64 in non-conference basketball action.
With the victory the Giants move to 8-4 overall, while Lancaster Bible falls to 5-9.
Two days after scoring 98 points and shooting above 60% from the field and from beyond the arch, the Giants struggled somewhat with their shot, misfiring 15 times from three-point range to finish at 25% for the game.
However, the Giants forced 19 Lancaster Bible turnovers, while Hardnett and Boone combined to go 18-25 from the floor in earning the victory.
Hardnett, who missed only two shots on the afternoon, picked up the double-double with a game high 27 points and a game high 12 rebounds.
Boone, who has scored 68 points in the last three games, netted18 to go along with seven rebounds, seven steals and a pair of blocked shots.
Tercel Taylor (Jackson, MI/Jackson) poured in 16 points, while
Tim Benedix (Mission Viejo, CA/Capistrano Valley) added 13.
Lancaster Bible was led by Madison Warfel and his 18 points.
Lancaster Bible actually built a lead as large as five points in a first half that saw eight lead changes and five ties. They would re-take the advantage and build another five point bulge in the second half, but Keystone outscored Lancaster Bible 24-9 over the game's final eight minutes to take control.
The Giants will return to action on Monday at 8pm when they travel to Immaculata.
