La Plume, PA (1-21-10) - Thursday night featured the top two scoring offenses in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), with Centenary College and Keystone College taking to the hardwood in men's basketball action.
The Giants, who came in second in the conference averaging 79.2ppg, held the league's top offensive team to 16 points below its average as Keystone topped Centenary 81-65.
With the victory the Giants moved to 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the CSAC, while Centenary fell to 5-10 and 3-5.
The Cyclones came into the game scoring at a clip of 81.0ppg, but the Cyclones struggled from the field, going 19-54 overall and just 4-15 from three-point range.
Centenary's only lead came at 2-0 to start the game, after that the Giants methodically began to build their advantage, taking a 42-29 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Cyclones would get as close as six points at the 13 minute mark, but the Giants responded with a 10-0 run to put things away. Keystone would open up a lead as large as 20 points in the closing minutes.
Kenneth Hardnett (Plant City, FL/Plant City) led four Keystone players in double figures with 16 points and a team high nine rebounds. Hardnett also dished out four assists and recorded three steals.
Malcolm Boone (Sugar Loaf, NY/Warwick) added 14 points to go with four rebounds. three blocks, three steals and three assists.
Ryne Luce (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) connected for 13 points, 12 coming via the three-ball, while dishing out a game high five assists.
Tercel Taylor (Jackson, MI/Jackson) added 11 points.
Gary Robinson (Brooklyn, NY/Wyoming Seminary ) pulled seven rebounds to help the cause.
Rob Urie led the Cyclones with 14 points, while Ryan Kearney added a double-double with a 12-point and 11-rebound night. Larry Lenahan also added 12 points.
The Giants will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Baptist Bible College for a 3pm tip.
