Ramapo edges Giants in field hockey play

Mahwah, NJ (10-2-10) – Keystone College could not overcome two early goals, as the Giants dropped a 2-1 match to Ramapo College in non-conference field hockey action.
With the victory Ramapo moved to 5-4 on the year, while the Giants fell to 5-5.
Ramapo converted the afternoon's first goal just before the eight minute mark when Katie Bruno scored at 7:59 off a corner.
They would extend their lead to 2-0 at 19:57 when Jenna Whyatt scored off an assist from Rachel Seidman.
Keystone cut into the lead at 28:32, as Katie Darling converted a penalty stroke, drawing to within a goal. However, that would be the last of the scoring for either team on the day.
Melinda Moore (Norwich, NY/Norwich) stopped nine shots in goal for Keystone, as Ramapo held a 15-9 advantage in shots.
