Ellis nets hat trick as Giants ground Crimson Eagles

Langhorne, PA (10-2-10) - Jamie Ellis (Shanklin, Isle of Wight England/Sandown) scored three goals and assisted on two others, while Scott Bensinger (Hegins, PA/Tri-Valley) added a pair of goals and two assists as Keystone College downed Philadelphia Biblical University 6-0 in CSAC men's soccer action.
With the victory the Giants evened their overall mark at 4-4, while going to 1-0 in the conference. Philadelphia Biblical dropped to 2-7-1 and 1-2-1.
The teams played a scoreless stalemate for the first 27 minutes of the match before exploding for four first half goals, which included a hat trick by Ellis.
Ellis put the Giants on the board at the 27:00 mark off an assist from Bensinger for a 1-0 lead. Three minutes and 15 seconds later Ellis added his second goal of the match, this time with the assist going to Michael Wells (Wantagh, NY/MacArthur).
Bensinger converted his goal at 37:41 with Ellis returning the favor on the assist. Ellis closed out the scoring in the opening half, netting an unassisted goal as time expired as the Giants took a 4-0 lead into the locker room.
Wells joined the goal parade in the second half, scoring at the 50:14 mark off an assist from Bensinger. Bensinger then closed out the scoring at 55:44 with Ellis assisting one again.
Daniel O'Rourke recorded a pair of saves in goal for Keystone, as the Giants out shot the Crimson Eagles 14-9.
