Boone paves way as Keystone turns back Cyclones

Hackettstown, NJ (2-11-10) - Malcolm Boone (Sugar Loaf, NY/Warwick) and Kenneth Hardnett (Plant City, FL/Plant City) recorded double-doubles, as Keystone downed Centenary College, 71-65 in men's CSAC basketball action.

With the victory, Keystone moves to 16-6 overall and 11-4 in the conference, while Centenary falls to 9-13 and 7-8.

Boone led four Keystone players in double digits with his 21-point night, including pulling in a team high 11 rebounds.  Boone, who has become a force on the defensive end of the floor during the second half of the season, also recorded five blocks.

Hardnett netted 10-points to go along with 10 rebounds and four assists.

Ryne Luce (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) and Spencer Lunger (Lake Winola, PA/Tunkhannock) combined to hit six of Keystone's seven three-pointers on the night, as Luce finished with 15 points and Lunger 14.  Lunger pulled in eight rebounds, all coming off the defensive glass, while Luce dished out four assists.

Ryan Kearney finished with a game high 25 points to lead the Cyclones.

Keystone led throughout, setting the tone early as they jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the opening minutes.  The Giants would open up a lead as large as 14 in the first half, eventually taking a six point edge into the locker room.

The Cyclones would draw within two points twice early in the second half, but  Keystone stopped the Cyclones short both times of tasting their first lead.

Centenary would make one last try at it, drawing to within three with 1:29 to play, but Gary Robinson (Brooklyn, NY/Wyoming Seminary ) converted three of four from the stripe and was then followed by a pair from Lunger and four straight from Luce to ice the game.

Keystone will return to action on Saturday at 4pm when they travel to Philadelphia Biblical University.
