Crimson Eagles trip up Giants

Langhorne, PA (2-13-10) – Lisa Garner and Dani Norton combined to score 42 of their team's point total as Philadelphia Biblical University shut down Keystone 67-57 in women's CSAC basketball action. 

With the victory, the Crimson Eagle's first in conference play, PBU moves to 4-17 and 1-10, while Keystone fell to 5-16 and 4-10. 

Garner netted 22 points, which included a 9-10 outing from the charity stripe, and Norton added 20, going a perfect 7-7 from the stripe. On the afternoon PBU converted 20 of 26 free throw attempts, while Keystone made only five of their 10 attempts. 

PBU jumped out to a 27-23 lead at the break, and held serve in the second half outscoring the Giants 40-34. 

Melinda Moore (Norwich, NY/Norwich) paced three Keystone players in double figures with a 13-point afternoon. Moore also added seven rebounds. 

Sarah Barreto (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) chipped in with 12 and Ellen Fallon (Scranton, PA/Scranton) added 10. Fallon also added a game high nine steals to go along with eight rebounds. Jazmine Harris (Fairfax, VA/James W. Robinson) and Yasmeen Bates (Tobyhanna, PA/Pocono Mountain West) each added eight boards each. 

The Giants will return to action on Monday at 6pm when they play host to Baptist Bible College. The Giants will honor their three senior players, Yasmeen Bates (Tobyhanna, PA/Pocono Mountain West), Kelly Iovieno (New York, NY/Professional Performing Arts) and Alicia Woodard (Norwich, NY/Norwich), prior to the start of the contest.
