La Plume, PA (4-10-10) - Neumann University used some timely hitting and good pitching as the Knights swept both ends of the doubleheader with Keystone 4-0, and 6-3.

With the sweep Neumann University moves to 13-11, 11-1 in conference while Keystone College falls to 9-14-1, and 6-6 in the CSAC.

In the opener  the Giants were limited to just 2 hits both by Abby Cohen (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom).

Carissa Iyoob (Jessup, PA/Valley View) went the distance for Keystone working seven innings while striking out three.

Brittany Campbell picked up the win for Neumann, with Jennifer Goslin leading the Knights offense with four hits.

In Game two Neumann opened the game with a run in the first and then another in the third inning, however the Giants roared back with three runs in the bottom half of the inning on RBI singles by Katie Butzer (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) and Heather Trudgeon (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown).

Neumann fought back with three runs in the top of the sixth inning to take the lead for good at 5-3. The Knights added an insurance run in the seventh. 

Jennifer Goslin had three hits for the Knights, while Rachel Purpuro picked up the win.

Loryn Hass and Janessa Karwowski (Carbondale, PA/Carbondale Area) each recorded singles for the Giants.

The Giants return to action on Tuesday at 3pm when they visit Wells College.
