Cyclones swirl by Giants in softball sweep

Hackettstown, NJ (4-16-10) - Centenary College took advantage of four Keystone errors in game one and then used an explosive five run rally in game two, as the Cyclones took both games of its doubleheader with Keystone College, 4-0 and 8-6.

With the sweep the Centenary moved to 17-9 overall, while the Giants dropped to 10-17-1 and 6-8 in the CSAC.

The Cyclones used a five run fourth in game two to take command of the nightcap in recording the sweep.

Abby Cohen (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) continued her impressive freshman campaign by connecting on two home runs and driving in four in game two for Keystone.  Cohen also drove in a pair.

Katie Butzer (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) also added a pair of hits for the Giants.  Samantha Hartman (Red Bank, NJ/Red Bank Regional) and Loir-Ann Marino each added RBI'S for the Giants.

In the opener Keystone managed just four hits, with a Carissa Iyoob (Jessup, PA/Valley View) double accounting for the lone extra base hit.  Hartman, Heather Trudgeon (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) and Janessa Karwoski each singles.

The Giants will return to action on Saturday at 1pm when they travel to Immaculata University for a CSAC doubleheader.
