Flemington, NJ (4-30-10) - The Keystone College baseball team is back in familiar territory, as the Giants turned in an afternoon thumping of Centenary College 13-1.
With the victory the Giants have captured the regular season title in the CSAC and the top seed in the 2010 conference playoffs.
The victory moves the Giants mark to 22-7 overall and 14-2 in the CSAC, while Centenary falls to 20-16 and 10-6.
Keystone used an eight run fifth inning to break open a 2-0 game, as the Giants scored their eight runs on just three hits, while also taking advantage of two Cyclone errors.
Edwin Padua picked up three of Keystone's 13 hits on the day, while Esteban Meletiche, Angel Fargas, Andy Vega and Ray Jackson each picked up a pair. Jackson, Vega, Meletiche and Ryan Lehman all picked up doubles.
Padua drove in three, while Jackson knocked in two for the Giants, with Meletiche and Vega scoring three times each.
Mike Hanley worked six innings of two hit ball to move to 7-0 on the year. The senior lefty did not allow a run while striking out eight.
Keystone and Centenary will take to the field again on Saturday at noon in doubleheader action at Keystone.
