La Plume, PA (9-1-10) - Alvernia University kicked off the 2010 volleyball season by recording a 3-0 victory over Keystone in non-conference action.

This marked the second consecutive year that the two programs met to start the season, with Keystone taking last year's match at Alvernia.  

The Crusaders took the match by scores of 25-23, 25-11 and 25-16.  

Shelby Morgan (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) led the Giants with seven digs and four kills, while Loryn Haas (Jersey Shore, PA/Jersey Shore) added five digs.  Leah Simko (South Gibson, PA/Mountain View)'s 11 assists were also a team high.
