Scranton, PA (9-4-10) - Katie Darling's unassisted goal in the second half broke a 1-1 tie and lifted Keystone College to a 2-1 victory over Vassar College in non-conference field hockey action.

The victory moves to the Giants 1-1 on the year, while the Brewers fell to 0-2.

Darling's game winner came at the 61:58 mark of the contest.

The teams each put a goal in the first half, with Vassar striking first at 15:05 to go up 1-0.  Keystone responded back five minutes later when LeeAnna Bennett netted her first goal of the year to knot things at one.  Brooke Stutts (Thompsontown, PA/East Juniata) and Kelsey Drozda (Wilkes-Barre, PA/G.A.R. Memorial) assisted on the goal.

Melinda Moore (Norwich, NY/Norwich) recorded five saves in goal for Keystone.

The Giants will return to action on September 11 when they travel to Wells College.
