Gwynedd Valley, PA (9-4-10) - Jeff Poindexter took home a fourth place finish, covering the Gwynedd-Mercy 8K layout in a time of 27:30 to lead Keystone in its cross country opener.
There was no team scoring on either the men's or women's side, but the Giants did have the opportunity to test the course where the CSAC Championships will be held.
Youth made a huge impact on the program today, as Poindexter (freshman), Jeremy Stonier (East Lemon, PA/Tunkhannock) (freshman), Abdul Hamid (Philadelphia, PA/Upper Darby) (freshman) and Paul Devine (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) (transfer sophomore) were the top 4 runners.
Poindexter made a huge impact on the conference being the third conference runner to cross the line.

On the women's side of things youth with the mix of experience was the key to success on the day. First year collegiate runner Kendra Kulesa crossed the line first for the Giants, while senior Jenna Fancher (Kingsley, PA/Mountain View) crossed a few seconds behind her on the 6K course.
