Bensinger's boots leads Giants to split at Drew event

Madison, NJ (9-5-10) - Scott Bensinger (Hegins, PA/Tri-Valley) provided all the offense Keystone would need in their season opener against College of Staten Island, as the senior scored twice in Keystone 2-1 victory at the Drew University Fall Fest.

The Giants came up short in the second match of the weekend, this time against the host, falling to Drew 5-0.

In their opener, Bensinger scored goals exactly 10 minutes apart to build the Keystone advantage.  He converted his first at 13:51 off an assist from Justin Turano (Carbondale, PA/Carbondale Area) for the 1-0 lead.

The second goal came at 23:51, this time with Dyer Moore (Norwich, NY/Norwich) assisting.

College of Staten Island would close the gap to 2-1 on a penalty kick at 31:53.

In their second match of the weekend, the Giants were held without a shot as Drew scored three times in the first half and twice more in the second.

The team returns home on Wednesday for their home opener against Mount Saint Mary College.  Game time is 3:30pm.
