Giants stage comeback against Anderson; blanks Messiah

Winter Haven, FL (3-17-11) - The Keystone College baseball team scored six runs over the final two innings, completing a 9-8 comeback victory over Anderson University.

Prior to their thriller pitching was the story as the Giants blanked Messiah College 4-0.  The two victories move their record to 5-3 on the season.

Trailing 7-6 entering the ninth inning, Ryan Henry knotted things at seven with an RBI single.  That set the stage for Lance Ratchford's two run home run that put the Giants ahead to stay.

Ratchford also added a double as part of a two hit day, while Roberto Santana knocked out three hits, which included a double.  Adan Krebs picked up the win with the save going to Derek Alex.

Brad Higgins continued his early season dominance as the Giants topped Messiah 4-0.  Higgins, who has not allowed a run this season, moved to 2-0 on the year by tossing six innings of one-hit ball and striking out seven.

Ricky Espinosa doubled twice for the Giants.

After a doubleheader with Rowan on Friday in Florida the team returns north for a Sunday contest at Kean University.
