La Plume, PA (3-30-11) - Ricky Espinosa and Roberto Santana combined to drive in seven runs as Keystone College knocked out 13 hits en route to an 11-2 victory over New Jersey City University in non-conference baseball action.
With the victory the Giants move to 8-5 on the season, while NJCU falls to 3-12.
Espinosa and Santana each knocked out three hits, with Andy Vega adding a pair. Espinosa included a home run and a double to his mix, while Santana also added a double. Esteban Meletiche also homered, his second on the year.
Rob Rogers worked six innings, allowing one earned run while striking out six in moving his season mark to 2-0.
The Giants got on the board early, pushing across two runs in the first on an Espinosa double. The Giants added another two spot in the third inning on an Espinosa home run and a Santana ground out.
Keystone extended the lead to 6-1 in the fourth when Meletiche homered and Espinosa picked up an RBI single.
A four-run fifth iced things for the Giants with a Santana double highlighting the inning. The Giants totaled seven bases on the afternoon, with Andrew Siano and Andy Vega each picking up three.
Keystone will attempt to return to action on Friday, weather permitting, when they play host to Neumann University in a CSAC contest. The Giants and Knights are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday at Neumann.
