Giants hit parade leads to sweep of Knights

Aston, PA (4-2-11) - A day after being stunned by a ninth inning home run which resulted in a one run loss, Keystone College returned the favor to the Knights on their home field, as Keystone knocked out 34 hits in recording a sweep of Neumann University,  14-9 and 10-4.

With the sweep Keystone moves to 10-7 overall and 4-1 in the conference, while Neumann falls to 18-5 and 2-4.

Brian Henry and Andy Vega had monster afternoons for the Giants.  Henry went  3-4 with five RBI and two runs scored in the opener and then added a 3-4 effort, which included another home run, with four RBI and another three runs scored in the nightcap.

Vega added his own fireworks with a 4-4 in game one, which included two home runs and three runs scored.  In the nightcap Vega added two doubles and a triple while scoring another  two runs.

Jeff Frost worked five innings of five hit ball to earn the win.  Frost allowed two earned runs and struck out four.

Andrew Siano picked up three hits while driving in two in the opener, with Lance Ratchford adding a pair of hits. 

Roberto Santana and Ricky Espinosa also added doubles for the Giants.

The hits kept on coming for Keystone in the nightcap, as the Giants banged out 18 more. 

In addition to the multi-hit efforts from Henry and Vega, Gabe Torres, Esteban Meletiche and Santana also added three hit games.

Santana doubled three times while driving in four, with Torres also picking up an RBI.  Siano also added a two-bagger towards the cause.

Blaine O'Brien worked six innings, allowing three runs and striking out nine in earning the win. 

Keystone will return to action on Monday at 3:30pm when they welcome Rutgers-Newark for a non-conference contest.
