Giants complete sweep of Mighty Macs; wrap up top seed

La Plume, PA (4-30-11) - Keystone College knocked out 26 hits on the afternoon as the Giants completed their three game sweep of Immaculata University 14-8 and 10-3.

With the sweep Keystone also wrapped up the top seed in the 2011 CSAC playoffs which get underway May 11.

Keystone moves to 23-10 and 13-1 on the year, while Immaculata falls to 16-12 and 9-6.

Blaine O'Brien allowed four earned  runs on six hits in six innings of work to pick up the victory in the opener.  O'Brien also struck out five.

Andy Vega homered and doubled twice as part of a three hit game in game one.  Vega also drove in three and scored three times. 

Bryan Henry picked up three doubles as part of his three hit game.  Brian Del Rosso doubled as he also knocked out a three hit performance, while scoring twice and driving in two.  Roberto Santana drove in three on two hits, as 10 of Keystone's 15 hits were of the extra base variety.

In the nightcap Brad Higgins allowed two runs on four hits to earn the win.  Higgins struck out five and did not walk a batter.

Esteban Meletiche, who drove in two in the opener, added another pair of RBI with a three hit effort.  Meletiche homered and doubled as part of his line while also scoring twice.

Lance Ratchford doubled twice while driving in two and scoring two and Gabe Torres knocked out three hits. 

The Giants return to action tomorrow at 3pm when they play host to Philadelphia Biblical University in a make-up contest.
