Giants fizzle out Cyclones

La Plume, PA (5-6-11) - Keystone College sent 13 batters to the plate as part of a nine run fifth inning as the Giants rolled over Centenary College 15-4 in CSAC baseball action.

With the victory the Giants moved to 25-10 and 15-1 on the season, while Centenary fell to 11-22 and 5-11.

The Giants turned a 3-2 lead into a 12-2 advantage after the fifth as Esteban Meletiche and Roberto Santana each picked up a pair of hits in the inning.  Meletiche kicked started the frame with a solo home run and then added double later in the inning. 

Santana tripled in his first at bat of the inning, while adding a single some twenty minutes later.

Andrew Siano also added a home run in the inning, contributing a three-run blast on his second go around of the inning.

Meletiche finished with a 4-5 afternoon, while also scoring four times and driving in three.  Siano drove in five and scored three as part of his three hit game, as the Giants knocked out 15 hits in the game.  Espinosa finished with three hits and a pair or runs scored, while Santana drove in two on two hits.

Blaine O'Brien worked six innings to pick up the victory, as he moved to 7-1 on the season.  O'Brien allowed four runs on four hits while also striking out eight.

The Giants and Cyclones will square off again tomorrow in a noon doubleheader at Centenary.
