Flemington, NJ (4-20-12) - Keystone College did all their scoring in the first five innings, as the Giants raised their win streak to 15 straight with a 7-4 CSAC victory over Centenary College.
With the victory, sixth ranked Keystone moves to 25-4 and 12-1, while Centenary falls to 11-21 and 6-10.
Connor Smith moved to 4-0 on the year, working six innings and allowing three runs. Derek Alex survived two hits and a walk in the ninth to earn his fourth save of the year. Alex also struck out a pair.
The Cyclones knocked out 17 hits on the afternoon, while the Giants managed just eight, but three miscues by Centenary led to three unearned runs.
Frank Mormino doubled as part of a three hit game to lead the Giants, as the senior also scored three times. Jhon Comas doubled as part of his two hit game, scoring once and knocking in one.
Miquel Castano doubled and drove in a pair, while Esteban Meletiche and Chris Bzozowksi also picked up an RBI in the winning effort.
Keystone scored one in the first and added two in the second for a 3-1 lead. The Giants would tack on another in the fourth and three more in the fifth to close out their scoring.
The Giants return to action on Saturday at 11am when they host these same Cyclones for a doubleheader.
