Scranton, PA – Marissa Manning scored a go-ahead jumper with 13 seconds left in regulation and King's College held on for a 67-65 victory over Keystone College in non-conference women's basketball on Day Two of the Sleep Inn Holiday Classic hosted by Marywood University on Sunday. The Monarchs improve to 4-6 on the season while finishing the tournament with a 1-1 record while the Giants slide to 5-6 overall.

AAliya Hayes (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) was named the All-Tournament Team after leading all players in scoring for the second game in as many days and recording her first double-double of the season on 22 points and 11 rebounds.
King's built a 14-4 lead over the opening 5:50 of Sunday afternoon's contest before Keystone used a 7-0 run to draw to within three points on a three-pointer from
Ashley Evans (Wooster, OH/Wooster) with a tick under 11 minutes left in the first half. The Giants trimmed their deficit to 21-20 with 6:24 left on the clock on a pair of free throws from Hayes, but the Monarchs outscored Keystone 13-6 the rest of the period to hold a 34-26 into the intermission.
Manning and Jennifer Fabian paced the offense for King's in the first half with nine points apiece while Olivia Hoffman pulled down 12 rebounds in the period. The Monarchs connected on 36.1 percent of their field goal attempts in the first stanza while going 1-5 from beyond the arc and 7-14 from the charity stripe.
Hayes led all players with 12 points in the first half while corralling six rebounds in the period for Keystone while Evans contributed seven points for the Giants, who struggled offensively in the opening 20 minutes of play, shooting just 18.4 percent from the field while going 2-6 from three-point range and 10-13 from the free throw line.
King's pushed their lead to as many as nine points early in the second half before Keystone used a 16-2 burst to claim a 48-43 advantage with 11:12 remaining in regulation. Katie Dugan sandwiched a pair of three-pointers for the Monarchs around a
Samantha Donahue (Taylor, PA/Riverside) jumper to give King's a brief, 53-52 edge before
Alyssa Cuomo (Odessa, DE/Hodgson Vo-tech) connected from downtown to put Keystone back in front, 55-53.
The two teams traded the lead five times over the next five minutes with
Dyjae Williams (Newark, NJ/Bloomfield Tech) giving Keystone a 65-63 edge on a field goal with 1:20 showing on the clock. Manning knotted the game back up just 12 seconds later on a layup and, following failed possessions by both teams, Manning netted the game-winning field goal on a jump shot in the paint with 13 seconds remaining. The Giants took one final shot to force overtime, but it would not fall as the Monarchs escaped with the win.
Manning finished the game with 19 points and eight rebounds for King's while Fabian netted 12 points in the contest. Hoffman led all players with 20 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Monarchs, who shot 36.5 percent from the floor for the game, 30 percent from three-point land, and 43.8 percent from the free throw line.
In addition to Hayes's 22-points, 11-rebound effort, Evans finished with 15 points to go along with a game-high four assists while
Cierra Hensley (Frederick, MD/Frederick) pulled down 10 rebounds for Keystone.
Jerica Rode (Lords Valley, PA/Wallenpaupack) contributed eight points and nine rebounds in the loss for the Giants, who finished the tilt hitting on 27.5 percent of the field goal efforts while going 29.4 percent from downtown and 72.7 percent from the stripe.
Keystone, who held a slim, 58-56 edge in rebounds for the game, forced King's into 20 turnovers while giving the ball away 16 times themselves.
Keystone will resume the Colonial States Athletic Conference portion of their schedule on Wednesday evening when they host two-time defending league champion Cabrini College. Opening tipoff between the Giants and Cavaliers is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Gambal Athletic Center in La Plume.
